Fugitive Arrested in Milwaukie Murder

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says that Dean Boettcher was arrested in Oklahoma.

The man wanted in connection with a murder last week in Milwaukie is in custody. Dean Boettcher was arrested by the Paula Valley Police Department in Oklahoma.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says he was arrested Saturday night and is being held on a fugitive warrant in the Gavin County, Oklahoma jail.

The sheriff's office says that Boettcher, 51, is wanted in connection with the murder of Matthew Nelson Timmons who was founded stabbed to death in a home on the 1700 block of Southeast Oatfield Road.

Boettcher has a criminal history that includes convictions for assault and sex abuse.

A woman who had been sought as an associate of Boettcher's has been located and is considered a witness not a suspect.
