Gas Tax and Marijuana Tax Plans Focus of Town Hall Meeting
Clackamas County is putting two tax measures on the ballot in November. Commissioners want to know what you think of that.

Now that the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners has voted to place two tax measures on the ballot in November, they want to know what people think.
They will be hosting a town hall meeting on August 3rd at West Linn High School starting at 6:00 p.m..
The first measure would create a six cents per gallon gas tax to help pay to repair roads in the county.

Clackamas County has some 1,400 miles of roads - more than half of which are in fair to poor condition.

The second would create a three percent sales tax on the sale of marijuana items.
That tax would be on top of the 17 percent sales tax already in place.
