Happy Valley Police Recover Stolen Maserati, Arrest Suspected Thief
Harold Cubbedge is implicated in a string of nearly one dozen thefts from around the Portland metro region, police said.

HAPPY VALLEY, OR — An Oregon City man suspected of nearly one dozen thefts from around the eastern metro area was arrested last week by Happy Valley police after tips from the community led officers to a stolen Maserati the suspected thief was driving.
Oregon City resident Harold Reichart Cubbedge, 51, was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft, identity theft, and possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine. His bail is set at $100,000.
Police believe a second suspect is involved in this case and have asked the public for any additional information on Corey John Smith, a 27-year-old white male who may have an address outside Oregon City. Smith is 6-feet 1-inch tall and 215 pounds, police said. (Sign up for our free daily newsletters and Breaking News Alerts for the Oregon City Patch)

According to police, Cubbedge was stopped in the stolen 2016 Maserati Ghibli near Southeast 147th Avenue and Southeast Misty Drive in Happy Valley on Tuesday, June 20. The Maserati had been reported stolen out of Washington County, police said.

In the stolen vehicle, police reportedly found evidence connecting Cubbedge to at least 11 other thefts from Portland, Damascus, Gresham, Happy Valley, and parts of unincorporated Clackamas County. The Maserati was returned to its owner and police are working to reconnect other victims with their stolen property.
