Milwaukie Man Arrested In Tow Yard Early Friday

A silent alarm at a repair shop next door to the tow yard alerted police to an unsuspecting suspect, officials said.

OREGON CITY, OR — Police responding to a silent alarm at Gerber Collision Center Friday arrested a Milwaukie man who was allegedly breaking into a car next door at Bud's Towing .

Edward Eugene Davis, 43, was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of criminal trespass, and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. He is being held on $5,500 bail.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. June 16, Oregon City police responded to a silent alarm at Gerber Collision Center, 128 S. McLoughlin Blvd. While investigating the silent alarm, officers saw someone had also gained access into Bud's Towing, next door at 126 S. McLoughlin Blvd.

Inside the lot, police say they observed Davis entering a vehicle. He was arrested without incident, police said.
