Rescuers had to cut through ten foot of bushes to free him.

The man could hear the voice coming from the blackberry bushes, a weak voice calling for help. Once assured the man was okay, he called 911 for help.

When rescuers showed up behind the McDonald's on the 15000 block of Southeast 82nd Avenue, they realized the man was 67-year-old Terry Brenneke who had missing since Saturday.

They proceeded to cut a hole through a chainlink fence and worked their way to the blackberry bushes, which were on a steep incline.

While tired and thirsty - and a little scratched up - Brenneke was okay.

Brenneke had been reported missing on Saturday around noon. He had last been seen by his home near SE Roots Road and SE Webster Road in unincorporated Milwaukie.

Officials were very concerned because he had had seizures and was prone to becoming disoriented and confused.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office led the search with assistance from Clackamas Fire District #1, American Medical Response, Pacific Northwest SAR, Mountain Wave SAR, Nor SAR K-9, the Washington County Sheriff's Office, and the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
