Murdered Children Memorial Needs More Room

It was built for 500 names. They already have 50 more that need to be added.

When the Oregon chapter of Parents of Murdered Children planned to memorial that now sits in Oregon City's Mountain View Cemetery they figured room for 500 names would be enough.

They were wrong.

The memorial wall was unveiled two years ago.

Not only is it already full, they have 50 names they need to add.

The memorial is a gathering point for the annual Day of Remembrance for Victims of Homicide, which is held in September.

No one is charged to have a loved one memorialized.

The organizers hope to raise $55,000 so they can triple the size of the memorial.
