Older Man and his Caregiver Killed in Molalla House Fire

An older man and a caretaker were killed by a fire overnight in their home in Molalla.

It appears both died from smoke inhalation.

The man, who was in his eighties, had managed to get out of bed and move toward the door before being overcome.

His caregiver, a man in his 20s, was also overcome.

They were discovered by the homeowner's daytime caregiver.

The fire had managed to put itself out.
