Oregon City High Students Get Safety Message from One of Their Own
Artwork reminding them not to text and drive will be on their parking permits.

Oregon City High School students who drive to school will be given a reminder of the importance of not texting and driving every time they park at the school.
On their parking permits will be a drawing of a cell phone with the text:
"LIFE β Donβt Drive and Text, or Youβll Be Next. Drive Safe, Save Lives."

The artwork was created by student Aryeh Masters who, as a junior in the spring, entered it in the county's Drive to Zero Posters and Coasters Safe Driving Media contest.
The school selected the artwork to include on the permit every student who drives. The permit must be displayed when they are parked at the school.

OCHS Vice Principal Kathy Johnson worked with Drive to Zero Program Coordinator Patty McMillan to have Mastersβ poster converted into stickers to place on the permits. Students will be required to display the permit on school property.
"They look fantastic and the kids think they are great," said Johnson.
