Oregon City Library is Open in Their New Extension

After weeks of moving, the library is out of the Carnegie and in to its new area. And they are open for business.

It's going to be a hot day and you need to cool off. What better way to do that than to head to the Oregon City's new facility where they are finally open for business.

It took about three weeks to get everything moved and set up but things are running smoothly.

It's part of an expansion plan. Now that the library is moved out of the Carnegie facility, contractors there can get work underway.

The Carnegie will retain its historic feel and have much of the library's history collection, periodicals, and genealogy materials.

The new building has spacious areas, new computer equipment and internet area, new furniture, a teen area, community rooms.
