Oregon Humane Society, Milwaukie Police Seek Cat Killer

MILWAUKIE, OR – The Oregon Humane Society is offering a reward for information about whomever is responsible for the gruesome murder of a cat in Milwaukie.

On March 28, a female longhaired solid-grey cat was found with electrical cord wrapped around her neck in the Scott Park amphitheater, 10660 S.E. 21st Ave. in Milwaukie. A Humane Society necropsy revealed evidence of strangulation, OHA officials said Wednesday.

The cat had been spayed and was roughly one-year-old. Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction could receive $500, officials said.

Milwaukie police and the Humane Society's Cruelty Investigations Department are working together to find the perpetrator, officials said. Anyone with information can call the Humane Society at 503-802-6706.
