"Not a neglect case," says OHS Public Affairs Manager David Lytle.
More than three dozen cats whose owner could no longer afford to take care of them have a new home at the Oregon Humane Society - despite the fact they were already operating at capacity with nearly 100 cats in the shelter.
"This is not a neglect case," OHS Public Affairs Manager David Lytle said, discussing why they agreed to take the cats.
The 39 cats from a home in West Linn had been well cared for and are healthy and well socialized.
