The parents of a brother charged with killing a couple with ties to Oregon City are under arrest, charged with rendering criminal assistance.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office says that Clyde Reed, 81, and Faye Reed, 77, were taken into custody at their home on Tuesday.
One of the Reeds' sons, John, is charged with the murder of Oregon City native Patrick Shunn and his wife, Monique Patenaude.

John and his brother, Tony, had fled to Mexico.
Tony, who turned himself in last month at the border, saw the murder charge against him dropped. Investigators were able to determine he was not present when the couple was killed. He is still charged, like his parents, with rendering criminal assistance.

John remains at large.
“We absolutely will arrest anyone who has helped a murderer escape justice,” said Sheriff Ty Ternary.
The sheriff's office says the parents admitted giving a vehicle to their sons as well as transferring the title from John’s truck, believed to have been used in the murders, to Faye. They also admitted to having provided financial assistance to John and Tony.
John Reed is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 190 pounds, with hazel eyes and gray hair and is believed to be driving a 2002 Gold Acura 3.2 TL (Arizona plates BNN-9968). He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
