Play Golf With A Cop In July To Support Shop With A Cop in December
In support of the Shop With a Cop program for youth, local police will take to the fairway for charity, challenging anyone who dares.

OREGON CITY, OR — Four weeks remain to register for the Clackamas County Peace Officers' Benevolent Foundation's forthcoming charity golf event in Oregon City.
To raise $20,000 in support of the Shop With A Cop program for underserved youth in Clackamas County, the Peace Officers' Benevolent Foundation will host the Officer Mulligan Charity Golf Tournament on July 28 at the Stone Creek Golf Club, located at 14603 Stoneridge Dr. in Oregon City.
Offering breakfast and lunch, as well as a fun game with officers in a non-emergency setting, the foundation's charity golf event is open to any and all up to 36 teams of four players each. Additional to the event registration, tournament entrants can also purchase $20 raffle tickets — to be drawn on the day of the tournament — for a chance to win a trip for two to Las Vegas, which includes a two-night stay at the Aria Resort and two rounds of golf at the Arroyo Golf Club at Red Rock and Revere. Only 150 raffle tickets will be sold.

Shop With A Cop in Clackamas County is an annual December event where local law enforcement agency personnel meet up with a selection of youth in-need to purchase together clothing, school supplies, toys, another gifts for themselves and family at Christmastime. Sometimes offered twice per year, at Christmas and prior to the school year, the program is supported by multiple police agencies in the tri-county area and often assists hundreds of kids in regional elementary and middle schools.
In 2016, according to the foundation's website, more than 135 kids shopped with cops at the Clackamas Wal-Mart. Each kid was given a $100 gift card and escorted by uniformed police officers, deputy sheriff’s, and other law enforcement as they made their purchases.
