Porch Package Thief Sought By Oregon City Police

The theft occurred on Apperson Blvd. in the afternoon of Dec. 21, police said. The suspect was driving a red four-door sedan at the time.

OREGON CITY, OR β€” Police are asking the community for help identifying a theft suspect in Oregon City who apparently took a package from the porch of a home on Apperson Boulevard last Thursday afternoon.

A surveillance camera at the house recorded the man get out of a red four-door sedan just before 2:30 p.m. Dec. 21. The man ran up to the porch, grabbed the package, then ran back to his car before driving north on Apperson. The car might have been a Toyota Corolla, authorities said.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 20 and 30 years old, with a thin build and short brown hair. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a short-sleeved blue-striped shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who recognizes the car or the suspect, or who may have additional information about the theft, is asked to call the Oregon City Police tip line at 503-496-1616.
