Sheriff: Teen's Home Invasion Claim a Hoax - Prostitution Charge Real

Teen had reported a burglary. Turns out she had been invited inside.

On Sunday, Happy Valley Police responded to a home on SE Mia Garden Drive.

The homeowner said he had returned her home to discover more than $200 missing from a nightstand in an upstairs bedroom.

She told police that her 18-year-old son had been home alone in his room with headphones on and hadn't heard anything suspicious.

The homeowner checked her security system and discovered a woman walking into the house through an unlocked front door, exiting after and walking to her car, which she had parked across the street, and drive away.

After investigating further, police have determined the woman was a prostitute who had been invited into the house by the teen - 18-year-old Ethan Kwon.

Kwon is charged with initiating a false report and patronizing a prostitute.

Police are still trying to identify the woman.
