Sheriff's Office Mourns Passing of K9 Max

Max, who spent six years working for the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, passed away on Saturday.

In his six years as a member of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Max had a pretty good career. He provided support for patrol deputies and the SWAT team and helped capture a number of fleeing suspects.

He passed away on Saturday.

Max, a Belgian Malanois born in the Netherlands in 2006 and joined the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office three years later.

He worked with Sgt. Jason Nail and then Deputy Erik McGlothin.

Max was forced to retire November 2015 because of cancer on his brain.

Last February, the sheriff's office made the following video in his honor.
