Sheriff's Office Recovers Revolver After Car Chase On Highway 224

The car chase lasted for about 20 miles before the vehicle rolled out of a turn near Milepost 47, police said.

ESTACADA, OR — Clackamas County Sheriff's officials on Thursday released dramatic footage of a roll-over car crash following a police pursuit on Highway 224 south of Estacada last Tuesday. Two people received minor injuries in the incident.

Francisco Javier Ortiz Jr., 22, and Chelsea Carillo Grey, 19, were reportedly drinking beer and shooting a revolver toward the highway while loitering at the PGE Faraday Substation in the 33000-block of Southeast Faraday Road around 11 p.m. on May 23. When Clackamas County deputies arrived on scene, the pair jumped in their Car2Go ride-share Mercedes sedan and took off heading south on Highway 224.
