Teen Arrested for Stealing from Salvation Army Kettles
Police say that Jeremiah Taylor was caught on surveillance tape.
Oregon City Police have arrested a 19-year-old for stealing from Salvation Army Donation kettles in Oregon City and Canby. Jeremiah James Tracy is charged with theft.
Officers say that they were contacted by the Salvation Army on December 6 reporting the theft of one of their kettles had been stolen from the Fred Meyer in Oregon City the day before. With the help of the Fred Meyer Loss Prevention unit, they obtained surveillance of the theft along with witness information in a suspect vehicle.
Oregon City Police also determined the same suspect had been responsible for another kettle theft earlier in the day at the Fred Meyer in Canby.
