
A two-alarm fire tore through a welding supply store in Oregon City.
It happened Thursday evening at Maverick Welding Supplies at 1737 Washington Street.
Oregon City Police were first on scene and reported some coming from the building.

They promptly shut down the street, allowing quick access to units from Clackamas Fire.
Truck 15 attacked from the roof, ventilating the building while engine companies went inside.

The firefighters had to move quickly because the building contained cylinders of oxygen and acetylene - both of which are very volatile when exposed to heat.
The firefighters from Clackamas Fire, assisted by units from Portland, Gladstone, and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
There were no injuries.
