• Central Oregon Coast's Siuslaw Forestlands Will Begin Seeing Pile-Burning (beachconnection.net) — Forest crews will soon begin seasonal pile-burning in Siuslaw National Forest lands, including the hills surrounding Pacific City, now that cooler, wetter weather has lowered fire danger. Residents may see light smoke but no closures are expected, and burns will only proceed under ideal safety conditions. Locals are encouraged to check the Siuslaw National Forest alerts page for updates.
