$1 Movies For Kids This Summer At These Oregon Theaters

Need cheap summer entertainment? Regal locations in Oregon will offer $1 movies during the annual Summer Movie Express, starting June 20.

On June 20, Regal movie theaters in Oregon will begin offering $1 movie tickets as part of Regal's 26th annual Summer Movie Express series, for which all tickets for all ages to all the movies in the nine-week series are just $1.

The Summer Movie Express deal will be held weekly, with the same two movies shown on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning at 10 a.m. The series will run from June 20 through August 16, starting with Kung Fu Panda 3 and Ice Age: Collision Course.

"The Summer Movie Express is an amazing opportunity for families to spend quality time at the movies and enjoy great films like Trolls, Sing and The LEGO Batman Movie," said Richard Grover, vice president of communications at Regal Entertainment Group. "Rain or shine, the Summer Movie Express will keep moving along and welcomes anyone to hop along for this nine-week ride."

Other $1 films include Laika favorites Kubo and the Two Strings and The Boxtrolls, The Adventures of TinTin, Happy Feet 2 and more. All movies are rated either G or PG. (Full schedule here).

The following Oregon theaters will offer nine weeks of cheap summer entertainment for the kids:

  • Cinema 99 Stadium 11, 9010 N.E. Hwy 99 in Vancouver, Wash.;
  • Lancaster Mall Stadium 11, 831 Lancaster Dr. N.E. in Salem;
  • Movies on TV Stadium 16, 2929 S.W. 234th Ave. in Hillsboro;
  • Old Mill Stadium 16 & IMAX, 680 S.W. Powerhouse Dr. in Bend;
  • Sherwood Stadium 10, 15995 S.W. Tualatin-Sherwood Rd. in Sherwood;
  • Stark Street Stadium 10, 2929 N.E. Kane Dr. in Gresham;
  • Tigard 11, 11626 S.W. Pacific Hwy. in Tigard;
  • Valley River Center Stadium 15 & IMAX, 500 Valley River Center in Eugene; and
  • Wilsonville Stadium 9, 29300 Town Center Loop W. in Wilsonville;

A portion of the admission fee for the nine-week film series goes to assist the Will Rogers Institute.
