During their interviews with police, all three stated they were originally from Houston, Texas.

Wafer provided the most information about himself, telling officers that he owns a trucking company but has been homeless for about four months. His criminal record from Texas includes burglary and "credit card abuse."

Kizzee refused to be interviewed after initially complying and telling officers that her home is "wherever I lay my head."

Knight said he'd lived in hotels his entire life but has been in Portland for about one year. Neither Knight nor Kizzee have any apparent criminal histories.
