
1. Rain or shine. Warm or cold. Head to the river front for The Portland Winter Lights Festival presented by Portland General Electric and hosted by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. It's free if you stay outside and watch. Head into OMSI, there's a charge. And more to see. Though, obviously, the lights will be outside as well as other things like the lantern parade and illuminated bike ride. 2. It's the middle of Dungeness Crab season and what better way to mark the occasion then head to the Oregon Convention Center for the 12th Avenue Portland Seafood and Wine Festival. Friday and Saturday. www.pdxseafoodandwinefestival.... for the details.
3. Sunday really boils down to where do you watch the Super Bowl. If you don't have a party to go to but are still looking to be around lots of people, there are plenty of places to watch the game including Revolution Hall and Punch Bowl Social.

4. Look in the sky. It's a bird. Yes, it's a bird. A raptor, in fact. Lots of them. In the sky above Sauvie Island. On Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. check in a Kruger's Farm Market for the annual Raptor Road Trip sponsored by the Audubon Society of Portland, Metro, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Hawk Watch International. 5. Timsila and the Cypress Tree is a dance performance inspired by Lakota creation stories mixed with a Zen koan. It's created by Meshi Chavez, the artist in residence at Cleveland High School where he led 30 students through a nine-week exploration of dance, training, and choreography.
