Portland's Apple faithful have a full slate of new hardware to watch this month. Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile announced they will carry Apple's newest lineup, including the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max, giving local shoppers multiple entry points and trade-in deals ahead of the holiday season.

Preorders for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max open at 8 a.m. ET on Saturday, September 12, with the phones reaching customers on September 18. The iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable phone, opens for preorder on October 16 and arrives in stores October 23.

The timing lands well in a city where Apple's customer base looks different from the rest of the country. According to audience data from Start.io, iPhone users in Portland skew notably young and female: 34.4% fall between ages 18 and 24, the largest single age bracket in the local market, and the audience runs 56.5% female to 43.5% male — a gap wider than the general population shows. That demographic detail matters for how Xfinity is pitching the new devices locally. The iPhone Duo folds out to a 7.6-inch display for gaming, streaming, and multitasking, then closes down to a pocketable 5.4-inch outer screen — a format built around exactly the multitasking, on-the-go lifestyle that skews toward Portland's younger, mobile-first shoppers. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, meanwhile, bring a new 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, Apple's most advanced camera system yet.

Deals sweeten the upgrade path

Xfinity Mobile customers on a Mobile Plus line can get the iPhone 18 Pro Max at no cost with an eligible trade-in, or take up to $1,300 off any new iPhone model. Customers without a trade-in device can still get $400 off the latest models.

Mobile Plus runs $45 a month and includes lifetime device protection, annual device upgrades, and unlimited data across more than 215 destinations. Xfinity also offers a lighter Mobile Select plan at $30 a month for customers who want unlimited data and travel access without the premium features.

Local businesses get the same lineup

Comcast Business Mobile customers, exclusive to Comcast Business Internet subscribers, can access the same device lineup through two unlimited plans. The Pro plan includes priority data during congestion and lets businesses swap devices twice a year, while the Standard plan starts at $20 per line monthly with optional device protection. Both plans support up to 20 lines per account.

Between September 14 and October 11, new Comcast Business Mobile customers who add two Pro lines can receive a $1,600 prepaid gift card, plus $800 per additional Pro line up to five lines total.

Both the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models feature Apple Intelligence and the newly rebuilt Siri, rolling out in beta with iOS 27 later this year.

For Portland shoppers eager to get their hands on the new devices, full pricing and eligibility details are available at Xfinity.com and business.comcast.com.
