Another Portland Food Cart Pod Vandalized

Just 48 hours after the food cart pod at Portland Mercado was vandalized - causing eight of the ten to close at least temporarily - another food cart pod was attacked.

The Carts on Foster pod - located less than one mile away from Portland Mercado - were attacked Tuesday night.

"This morning our cart owners were devastated to arrive at Carts on Foster this morning to discover break ins at most of the carts here as well," the operator of the pod posted on their Facebook page above a video showing the damage to several carts.

Nine carts were damaged in the attack.

Meanwhile, the Portland City Council has approved spending up to $20,000 to help the carts at Mercado rebuild. The money will come from the city's contingency funds and be available to assist in repairs not covered by insurance.
