According to the U.S.G.S, it was centered around 44 miles East-Southeast of Lakeview:
- 71.0 km (44.1 mi) ESE of Lakeview, Oregon
- 180.0 km (111.8 mi) ESE of Altamont, Oregon
- 181.0 km (112.5 mi) NNE of Susanville, California
- 184.0 km (114.3 mi) ESE of Klamath Falls, Oregon
- 298.0 km (185.2 mi) N of Carson City, Nevada
It was the second quake in as many days to hit the state.
