Arrest in Couch Park Stabbing

James McClure is charged with robbery and attempted murder.

James Lionell McClure, a 50-year-old from Portland, faces charges of attempted murder, assault, and robbery after he allegedly stabbed a man Friday evening in Northwest Portland.

Portland Police say it was just before 6:00 when they arrived at Couch Park on Northwest Glisan for a report of a stabbing.

They found 28-year-old Kody King on the ground. He had been robbed and stabbed. He remains in critical conditions and have detectives have not been able to speak with him.

Based on information gathered at the scene, they were able to arrest McClure.

The incident remains under investigation.
