A Portland elementary school teacher is on leave after police arrived at the school Tuesday to investigate allegations he acted inappropriately with students. Portland Police say that the teacher - at Astor Elementary - acted in such a way that the behavior "could be considered criminal conduct." As a result, the situation is being investigated by the Youth Services Division with the assistance of the Child Abuse Team.The teacher, who was not been arrested, was placed on leave by the district when they were notified of the situation.A note was sent home to families on Tuesday.Photo courtesy Portland Public Schools
