Benz-to-Go: car-2-Go Adds Mercedes to Portland Fleet
Company adds larger vehicles to its somewhat ubiquitous two-seat Smart cars.
You need to rent a car for a short time to get yourself and at least two other people somewhere. Clearly, car2Go's somewhat ubiquitous 2-seat Smart cars won't do it.
On Monday, the company announced a solution. They have added several Mercedes Benz sedans and SUVs to their fleet in Portland. Both Mercedes and Car2Go are owned by Daimler.
They are adding a four-passenger 2017 Mercedes sedan and a 2017 five-passenger Mercedes SUV.

Renting a Mercedes will eventually cost more to rent than the smaller cars.
The service already has Mercedes available in Toronto and Vancouver, British Columbia as well as Austin, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.. They plan to add more cities throughout the year.
