Best Baguette Burglarized Before Dawn, Portland Police say
The two suspects were arrested less than 500 feet from the burglary location nearly an hour after police were notified.

PORTLAND, OR – East Precinct officers arrested two men early Monday for allegedly burglarizing a Vietnamese bread shop in Southeast Portland, according to Portland police officials.
Ly Quang Tran, 44, and Hieu Van Duong, 43, were lodged at the Multnomah County Jail on two counts of second degree burglary, police said.
An alarm at the Southeast Portland Best Baguette, located at 8308 S.E. Powell Blvd., reportedly alerted officers to the burglary shortly after 2:30 a.m. May 1. After reviewing security camera video, police were prepared with a suspect description, officials said, though it was proven unnecessary when officers spotted the suspects about an hour later standing at the intersection of Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 82nd Avenue –– less than 500 feet from the spot of the burglary.
