BikeTown Latest: That Didn't Take Long as First Bikes are Vandalized
Willamette Week reports that the tires on six bicycles were slashed.

It took just over 24 hours.
That's how long it took for the first bicycles in Portland's new bicycle share program to be vandalized.
The program, named BikeTown, got underway Tuesday morning.

Willamette Week reports that some time before 1:00 Wednesday afternoon, at least six bicycles in the program had their tires slashed while parked at the New Seasons Market on North Williams Avenue.
A spokesman for the Portland Bureau of Transportation, which administers the program, told the paper that the bicycles are in the shop and asks that if you see any bicycles vandalized, please report it as soon as possible.
