- Another Portland bridge will be closed for maintenance today. The Hawthorne Bridge will be closed from 3:00 AM until noon, Tuesday through Friday, for repairs to the cables that move the bridge up and down. Well, at least we have 11 other bridges to use. (KATU)
- Popular tourist spot Multnomah Falls will be moving to a ticket system to reduce congestion and mitigate risks. Tickets can be obtained online and entitle ticket holder to a one-hour visit. The tickets are free, but there is a $1 reservation fee. (OPB)
- In NE Portland, a mailbox exploded yesterday in the early hours of the morning. Reports of an explosion brought Portland Police to the 100 block of NE 148th Ave, to find debris scattered as far away as 100 feet. (KPTV.com)
- Portland clinics now have a new treatment for sufferers of post-traumatic stress disorder and other trauma. Acceleration Resolution Therapy involves patients recreating new images of past trauma paired with rapid eye movement. Similar to what happens during REM sleep, it's designed to calm down the amygdala, a core fear system in the human body. (KATU)
- The state of Oregon is funding a website that aims to assist families supporting LGBTQ children. The site is a collaborative venture between The Family Acceptance Project at San Francisco State University and the Oregon Family Support Network. CDC data show that LGBTQ youth are about five times more likely to attempt suicide than their straight peers because of harassment, bullying and discrimination. The website contains information and approaches for families to advocate for LGBQT children and prevent health risks. (KGW)

- Chamber Music Northwest is bringing you an evening of Buster Keaton and great piano music. It will be showing the silent film "The General" with an improvised sound track by pianist and composer Matan Porat. The show is free, so pack some snacks and bring your own seat to Franz Hall at Portland State University. Show starts at 8:30 PM
- Mox Boarding House on West Burnside loves playing table top miniatures games and they'd love to teach you how to play, too. If games like Warhammer 40,000 and X-Wing have seemed cryptic to you, let the experts at Mox clear the mystery. Register online, class is at noon.
- The jazz band Portland Standard Time will be playing at St. John's Beer Porch in North Portland. Enjoy a delightful evening of music while knocking back a pint or two. 6:30 - 9:00 PM.
- If you're passionate about workers' rights, why not join the Portland Democratic Socialists of America for an in-person Labor Working Group Mixer. It's at the Lucky Labrador Brew Pub on SE Hawthorne and there will be food, drink and Labor trivia. Masks are required indoors. RSVP online. The event is from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.
- Comedy at Kelly's Olympian is back! Join them tonight for Some Comedy Show, featuring Grace Jung, Simon Gibson and Kelly Ryan. Get your tickets online. Show starts at 8:00 PM.

- Did you know that you can train your cat? Yeah, neither did I. But instructor Misty Hampton believes she can help you teach your cat to follow basic commands and even do a few tricks. Registration is online through Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 - 7:45 PM.
- If Portland is known for one thing, it's great food. That's why Eater PDX has released a summer guide to dining in Portland. It covers old favorites and some newer, lesser known places for all sorts food and drink. Check it out. I'll be using it to explore the few places I haven't been to yet. (Eater PDX)
