For those that don’t know, in 2023 the FDA made donating blood more inclusive and allowing more gay and bisexual men to donate, and all donors are asked the same questions instead of some being disqualified because of sexual orientation. Learn more at: www.bloodworksnw.org/eligibilityupdates.
Every summer, hospitals having blood supplies on hand is critical during the 100 deadliest days between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During this time, more folks are taking vacations and not donating blood as frequently, and simultaneously hospitals tend to see an uptick in traumas and emergencies with more people adventuring and road tripping where more accidents happen. Help stabilize the local blood supply in our region by donating with Bloodworks Northwest - the local, independent, nonprofit organization managing the blood supply for 95% of Pacific Northwest hospitals right here in Oregon & Washington.
Plus, donors at this drive who are 18+ and complete a post-donation online entry form at www.bloodworksnw.org/win have a chance to win a $10,000 gas gift card to fuel up your summer adventures!
