Campaign 2016: Sheriff's Deputy Probed for Making Political Comments Over Loudpseaker

Deputy drove by election office and told people to "Vote Trump" over his public address system.

A deputy with the Multnomah County Sheriff is under investigation after he drove by the county election office and announced, "Vote Trump" over his car's public address system.

There were about 30 people in line waiting to drop off ballots when the deputy, who has not been identified, drove by.

People in line flagged election officials who flagged the sheriff's office.

"The deputy was quickly identified" said the spokesman for the sheriff's office. Lt. Chad Gaidos. "He was immediately brought back to the office."

Gaidos said an internal investigation is underway.
