Central City Concern Opens Hill Park Apartments In Downtown Portland

The long-time social services non-profit opened the new 39-unit apartment building July 11.

PORTLAND, OR — Central City Concern welcomed Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, Commissioner Dan Saltzman, and Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury on Tuesday to the grand opening of the Hill Park Apartments.

Located at 110 S.W. Arthur St., the Hill Park Apartments is a 39-unit, three-story building in Portland's Lair Hill neighborhood. And in following with the Central City Concern (CCC) mission to serve people affected by homelessness, poverty, and addictions, eight of the 39 units will be designated for residents with mental illness — and for whom CCC will provide supportive services.

"Hill Park Apartments is a great example of community partners working together to fill a need," CCC Chief Housing and Employment Officer Sean Hubert said in a statement. "We want to serve people with low incomes who work and live in the neighborhoods where we build."
