Don't Shoot PDX Protest Shuts Down Downtown Streets

Two hour protest disrupts MAX service Saturday.

A two-hour rally organized by Black Lives Matter and Don't Shoot PDX in downtown Portland Saturday closed streets and caused MAX delays as long as 25 minutes.

The rally was to protest two recent police shootings - one in Los Angeles where a man was shot dead by deputies who mistook him for a carjacking suspect and one in Randallstown, Maryland where a woman was shot and killed after she pointed a shotgun at officers who were attempting to serve an arrest warrant.

The woman had failed to appear in court on traffic charges.
