Dozens of Shots Fired at Lloyd Center Motel

Witnesses reported suspects fleeing in several cars.

A party apparently hosted by someone affiliated with a gang may have resulted in a shooting at motel in Northeast Portland early Friday morning.

Police responded to the Residence Inn Marriott Hotel at 1710 Northeast Multnomah Street across from Lloyd Center just before 3 a.m. after getting a report that shots had been fired.

There they discovered that a man with gang ties had rented a room and numerous had been partying there since early afternoon.

Police determined that 35 shots had been fired at the hotel.

One round entered an unaffiliated room, striking a guest. The bullet did not penetrate the skin and the person was not seriously injured.

Witnesses reported that suspects fled the area in several cars.

The Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team is leading the investigation.
