Drivers Get Ready to #FeeltheBern as Bernie Sanders Comes to Town

Vancouver Police warning of congestion as Sanders makes Sunday appearance

With the Washington State Democratic Caucus on Tuesday, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is headed to Vancouver on Sunday afternoon to hold a rally likely to affect traffic in the region.

"Drivers traveling through this area should plan for delays or choose an alternate route if necessary.," Vancouver Police said in a statement.

"Attendees to the event are advised to minimize impact to the neighborhoods surrounding the school by parking in the various parking lots in the area or utilizing off-street parking outside of the neighborhoods if possible. Carpooling is encouraged."

The event, at Hudson's Bay High School, is scheduled to begin at 1PM and attract plenty of people from Oregon as well as Washington.

Jim Moore, professor at Pacific University, told Patch earlier this week that Washington is one of the few places where Sanders has a good chance of making a strong showing against Hillary Clinton.
