Drug Bust Leads to Recovery of Stolen Bicycles, Parts

Police also recovered more than $1,200 cash and several marijuana plants.

A drug bust at a homeless camp this week led to the recovery of more than $5,000 in stolen bicycles and parts.

Portland Police say that they had gone to the homeless camp at Southeast 5th Avenue and Ivon Street to arrest 39-year-old Wesley Christopher Ferron on charges including selling methamphetamine and heroin as well as identity theft and failing to register as a sex offender.

They say that they also found between $5,000 and $6,000 in stolen bicycles and frames as well more than $1,200 cash and several marijuana plants.

Officers will work try to figure out if they can determine the owners of the bicycles.
