Early Morning Fire Displaces Eight

Two-alarm fire traced to BBQ briquettes.

An early-morning, two-alarm fire sent eight people from their home Friday morning. No one was injured.

The American Red Cross says that they helped four adults and four children.

The fire was reported just before 4:30 at 5653 Southeast 123rd Avenue. The fire, which started when charcoal briquettes burned through a barbecue pit, had spread to the roof, causing it to collapse.
