Early Morning Fire Sends Two from Homes

Portland Fire and rescue arrived at a home near Southeast 152 and Lincoln were told that someone was still inside the burning house.

They then found someone standing outside the garage of the house.

Firefighters determined that that person was the person who had been thought to still be inside.

Heavy smoke was coming from the home.

Firefighters quickly determined the fire was in the garage and attic and able to quickly bring it under control.

There was enough smoke damage to the home that the two occupants will have to find another place to stay.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
