According to the U.S.G.S., it was centered in the Pacific:
- 250.0 km (155.3 mi) WNW of Bandon, Oregon
- 260.0 km (161.6 mi) W of Coos Bay, Oregon
- 333.0 km (206.9 mi) W of Roseburg, Oregon
- 347.0 km (215.6 mi) WSW of Corvallis, Oregon
- 377.0 km (234.3 mi) WSW of Salem, Oregon
