Former Bundy Lawyer Mike Arnold Cleared
The bar association won't pursue a complaint against him.
Another victory for Ammon Bundy's former lawyer.
Once again, Mike Arnold has faced a complaint filed with the Oregon State Bar Association and come out on top.
"We conclude that there is no sufficient basis to warrant a referral to Disciplinary Counsel’s Office for further review," Assistant General Counsel for the Oregon State Bar Association Troy Wood wrote.

The bar association was responding to complaints from three people that Arnold acted improperly by using social media to ask people to send public records requests to government agencies.
"You expressed concern that Mr. Arnold’s “Action Alerts” or similar efforts would improperly burden and harass the government agencies who received public information requests," Wood wrote to the complainants.
"Mr. Arnold points out that he emphasized the need for requestors to act courteously," Wood continued. "We note that no agency or government official has expressed concerns to us that public records requests arising from Mr. Arnold’s “Action Alerts” have caused improper harassment or burden."
Arnold praised the decision.
"It turns out that attorneys can and should help their clients," he told Patch. "This will serve as positive precedent for attorneys nationwide that we no longer have to kowtow to the power of the government and their unlimited resources, perp walks, requests for public help, and selective release of information."
The bar association previously exonerated Arnold of three other complaints.
