Fourth Man Indicted in Murder of Pregnant Woman

Kelvin Brown, who was arrested just over a week ago, has been indicted for murder.

A fourth person has been indicted in the 2014 murder of a pregnant woman in Southeast Portland.

Kelvin Brown, who was arrested in late June, is charged with the killing of 21-year-old Ervaeua Herring in August 2014.

The grand jury indicted him on charges of murder, burglary, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Police had responded to the Eastwood Viullage Apartments for a call of a shooting.
There they found Herring shot dead.
She was pregnant at the time.Investigators determined that several suspects had been firing at the apartment. They believed it was gang-related.

Homicide detectives working with detectives from the Gang Enforcement Team eventually made three arrests - 21-year-old Demetruis Ray Brown, 22-year-old DeAnthony Simmons and 23-year-old Geontae Brachaurd Jones.

Brown is the fourth person charged.

Portland Police say the investigation continues and they believe there will be more arrests.
