Get Out and Play, Create, and Learn: 5 Things to do in the Region This Weekend
Oregon Ag Fest, Corbett Children's Theater, and Rune & Board's tabletop party are all options for getting out of the house this weekend.

1. The Gresham-based Corbett Children's Theater will perform its final three shows of 'Once Upon a Mattress' this weekend at The Chapel, 27132 S.E. Stark St. in Troutdale. Music and humor put a twist on the classic 'Princess and the Pea' fairy tale for this humorous show featuring MAINSTAGE performers. The final three performances are Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and $9.50 for students and seniors.
2. Celebrate International Tabletop Day on Saturday, April 29, at Rune & Board in Hillsboro, 238 S.E. Washington St., from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Board game enthusiasts can choose from a variety of tabletop games and adventures to compete against friends and strangers alike. Warhammer, Magic, and Dungeons & Dragons are just a few of the games available. And from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. adult games like Cards Against Humanity and Exploding Kittens NSFW will be available for play.
3. Kids and adults are invited to Michaels' Slime Bar Make Break Event on Saturday, April 29, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Michaels' locations throughout the Portland metro area. Make colorful slime with sparkles for free and all by yourself at Slime Headquarters while supplies last –– which Michaels provides to event attendees.

4. The 2017 Oregon Ag Fest begins Saturday, April 29, at 8:30 a.m. at the Oregon State Fair & Exposition Center, 2330 17th St. N.E. Attended by more than 20,000 people in 2016, the annual two-day agriculture fest hopes to bridge the gap between urban and rural life in Oregon, and to share the wonder and abundance of the state's bountiful and diverse harvests. Tickets are $9 for adults, kids 12 and younger get in free.
5. Kyra's Bake Shop at 599 A Ave. in Lake Oswego is hosting on Sunday, April 30, a 'Mini and Me' cookie decorating fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Tickets range from $50 to $65 for either one parent and one child or one parent and two children, and includes a cookie to decorate, a bag to take home your creation, several frosting colors, and various sprinkles to play with, and lunch –– either a turkey bacon swiss or toasted cheese slider, some brownie bites, cinnamini bites, and milk or juice for children and a mimosa for adults.
