Logan Kitzhaber, the son of the former governor, admitted to having had a beer before crashing his car Monday.
He also told a trooper that he had smoked marijuana the night before.
Those are some of the details included in an affidavit investigators filed to get a warrant for samples of Kitzhaber's blood and urine.

The crash happened Monday afternoon on Highway 101 near Devils Lake Road.
State police said that Kitzhaber had crossed the center line and crashed into a motorhome being driven by 67-year-old Stanley Lyckman.
While his injuries are not life-threatening, Lyckman will require surgery.
Lyckman's wife, Martha, was also injured in the crash.
Kitzhaber was originally described as having suffered life-threatening injuries.
After being extricated from his car, which had rolled over, he was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Portland.
It later was revealed that he had been released from the hospital the day after the crash.
The investigation into the crash continues. As of Thursday morning, no charges had been filed.
Logan Kitzhaber is the son of John Kitzhaber, who served as Oregon's governor from 1995 to to 2003 and 2011 to 2015.
