Grab Some Sun: 5 Things To Do Across The Region This Weekend
A free book fair, ballet, and spiritual get-together are all available this weekend.

1. A free book fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Beaverton City Library, 12375 S.W. Fifth St. The fair will reportedly highlight the works of 28 writers from Washington County and the surrounding area, and will include the memoirs from a chaplain who served during 9/11 and an Olympic swimming champion, as well as works from travel, mystery, romance writers and political satirists.
2. Gresham High students will challenge Gresham Police at a field day event at Gresham High School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Capture the flag, a football toss, and extreme Frisbee are on the menu, along with free barbeque hamburgers and — of course — doughnuts.
3. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland will host youth from across Oregon and Southwest Washington at the annual State Games Room Tournament from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Regence Boys & Girls Club, 4430 N. Trenton St. in Portland. Attendees will compete at chess and checkers, bumper pool and normal pool, table tennis, and foosball.
