Baking Flour Leads to Hazmat Situation at Portland International Airport

Emergency crews were called to Portland International Airport to deal with a hazmat situation that turned out to be a baking flour situation.

Port of Portland Spokesman Steve Johnson tells Patch that employees noticed a white powder substance associated with a flight that arrived from Atlanta.

One worker reportedly felt sick after encountering the substance.

It turned out to be baking flour and everything is returning to normal.

There were no delays as a result of the situation.
