Ex-Girlfriend of Accused Killer Told Cops: Eventually He Will Kill

Spencer Thomas Johnson is charged with murder.

Spencer Thomas Johnson will appear in court Tuesday to answer charges that he killed Cory Jonell Lumber on Saturday, having shot her once.

It turns out that this is not the first time Johnson's name appears in a domestic violence police report.

Last October, Portland Police took a call from a relative of Johnson's then girlfriend who was afraid for her safety.

Officers arrived at her home. As they were interviewing, Johnson arrived, a loaded 9mm gun in his hand.

He refused several orders to put the gun down though he eventually did and was arrested.

The girlfriend told police that he had more than once threatened to shoot her, had hurt her with his hands, and that "eventually" he would kill her.

In April, he was conceited of one count of interfering with a police officer and sentenced to 18 months probation. Part of his sentence was that he he is forbidden from possessing weapons.

On Saturday, he was arrested for murdering Cory Lumber.

The medical examiner said he had been shot once.

Homicide detectives responded to the Misty Firs Apartments at 1538 SE 122nd Avenue at 7:00 a.m. after getting a call from a resident.

Inside the apartment, they found a Lumber, 48.

She was dead.

Johnson's charged with murder-domestic violence and unlawful use of a weapon - domestic violence.
