Hot Weather Coming! National Weather Service Says 100 on its Way

It's about to get hot. Really hot. Really very hot.

How hot?

"This is one of the earliest heat waves of this magnitude," the National Weather Service said in a statement.

It will be in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday.

The area will start heating up significantly Friday with the highest temperatures over the weekend.

The temperatures will reach the upper 90s and may pass 100.

"This could be the earliest we reach 100 degrees in some locations," the NWS said.

The National Weather Service said the temperatures will create stress for anyone outdoors and involved in physical activity. They say that the elderly and infirm should take caution.

"Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors," they said.
